About the Conference
Founded in 2003, The Teaching Professor Conference provides a thought-provoking and stimulating forum for educators of all disciplines and experience levels to share best practices that advance college teaching and learning.
Each year this three-day conference brings together approximately 1,000 faculty members from campuses throughout the United States, Canada, and beyond. Opportunities for both formal and informal learning are key ingredients to the success of this conference and many participants return year after year – often bringing colleagues with them.
The Teaching Professor Conference features plenary sessions, more than 80 concurrent sessions, and dozens of poster sessions. It is the place to:
- Explore the newest ideas and research in teaching and learning
- Uncover ways to refresh, reenergize, and reinvigorate your teaching
- Discover new pedagogical practices that work
- Discuss the state of today’s changing classroom
- Network with likeminded professionals who care about teaching and learning
- Learn from nationally recognized teaching and learning experts
This conference does not focus on a specific discipline. Instead it is a gathering of teachers with a passion for teaching and a commitment to finding evidence-based solutions to the challenges that we face in our day- to-day practice. We all know the college classroom is changing in new and exciting ways. But with change comes challenge, and that is why dedicating time to your own professional growth is so important.
