Conference Objectives!

Research for Economic Development!

Every nation makes an earnest attempt to ensure a long-term and sustained economic growth in or der to provide, among others, job opportunities for the population. Empirical research indicates that innovation is central to GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and economic growth. It further indicates that R&D has a large effect on both state output and total factor productivity in the long run. Countries investing more on human development is expected to contribute to economic growth and societal development in the long run. This is, indeed, true as any company investing on R&D is sure to generate new ideas, discover ways and means to cut costs which helps a company to be profitable for an indefinite period of time.

Countries such as Israel, Finland, Sweden, South Korea, Japan and USA and a host of other nations invest heavily on R&D and have witnessed solid growth in their economy in major parameters such as GDP growth, growth in per capita income and export of goods, technology, know-how and services. So, the linkage between R&D spending and economic growth has been reasonably proved by researchers.

Research Helps Fixing Societal Problems

A nation has to address the most important economic woes and problems. Some of the economic problems that warrant urgent action by the governments in different countries include, rising jobless growth, regional economic imbalances, mounting government debts in many countries, particularly in Europe, volatile financial and banking system, growing disparity between the rich and the poor, immigration of people from African continent to European and other countries through high-risk channels and damage to the eco-system. These are, quite understandably, very important issues that need to be addressed by the global community. Solid research would help address these issues and problems, it is hoped. Against this background, the upcoming conference is being organized in the most beautiful country of Thailand. You are cordially invited to share your research findings with fellow academicians from the rest of the world.

Publication opportunities are available for those who attend the upcoming conference in Bangkok, Thailand.
